Manabito Kitano Base

Founded in 2014, the NPO Manabito began by offering after-school study support for elementary students and Japanese language classes for foreign residents.

Since then, its activities have expanded to include an after-school childcare facility "Kitano-kun’s Chi(Kitano-kun’s house)," housing support for foreigners, food support for international students, after-school daycare for children with developmental disabilities, and a "Community Dining Hall" to prevent solitary meals.

Consistently, its mission is to create a place where everyone can belong, encounter diverse perspectives, and build relationships for mutual learning. Manabito Kitano Base, home to "Kitano-kun’s House," also offers occasional temporary childcare for elementary students depending on availability.

Every Tuesday and Thursday from 5-7 pm, the "Kobe Children’s Exploration Squad" provides a free play space for all elementary students.

Additionally, the "Community Dining Hall" is held every Tuesday and Thursday from 7 to 8:30 pm, where everyone is welcome to share a meal together.
